If system scan is permitted to run prior to Registry Cleaner, no notification is given when it's finished. |
| Description |
So, unless I bring up Task Manager to monitor exeuction of the system scan... I may launch Registry Cleaner while the scan is still ongoing. This results in the Registry Cleaner task getting "bogged down" and appearing to be hung. In fact, I ended up rebooting my PC due to this very problem. Even then, it would not execute a normal shut down... I had to use the power switch, and several error entries were written to the Event Log relating to the unsuccessful Shut Down attempts. I believe earlier versions of the software did notify you of system scan completion (or at least closed the popup window) but now there's no way to determine when the scan is finished, so you can proceed with the Registry Cleaner step. |
