Report a Bug
If you are using a trial version of jv16 PowerTools, or you are using the freeware program PowerTools Lite, please add "Send License For jv16 PowerTools If Applicable" at the end of the Bug Description if you wish to receive a free personal license of jv16 PowerTools. We will issue you a free license with your given email address and name if you have reported a new bug and your report helps us to fix it.
Instructions - Please Read!
Please use this form to report a bug in our products. Remember to provide as much information about the problem as possible. Simply stating that program displays an error message doesn't usually help at all, try to be as specific as you can, for example "Program displays error message 'Internal Error FDD-1' a few seconds after starting File Finder, this happens every time I try it".
If you are reporting the program crashing, freezing or hanging, please include with your report a Debug Log created by the program.
How To Create a Debug Log:
- Start the program.
- Press down CTRL and SHIFT when the program's Main Window is visible.
- A new menu called "DEBUG" will be now visible between "Tools" and "Help" in the Main Window.
- Open the DEBUG menu and select "Enable Debug Mode", close the program.
- Start the program again, now it starts in so called Debug Mode.
- Perform the steps that trigger the problem. For example, if Registry Cleaner crashes, while in Debug Mode, run the Registry Cleaner and wait for the crash.
- After you have experienced the problem again, notice that on your Desktop there are two files called something like "DebugLog.html" and "FunctionLog.html".
- Attach the two Debug Log files to this report, you can also Zip them if you wish to.
