I'm sorry but the error seems to be so rare, we have to focus on more common problems.

This is indeed a bug, but it's not very serious. It will be fixed in time.

This issue is not (yet) fixed in RC1!

I cannot see this issue being fixed any time soon. For some reason, Windows API doesn't return correct information for certain running software. There must be something I do wrong, but gladly it's mainly a cosmetic issue.

Clean and Fix is not honoring the Global Ignore List for disks to ignore when performing a FIX following a registry scan. In the picture below, Clean and Fix changed the highlighted entry from my D drive where I store all downloaded files to the H drive which is in the Global Ignore List and is a clone backup of my D drive. In this specific example, I had deleted Beta6 update from the D drive; however, it was still present on the H drive. Also NOTE that the Fix changed the type of registry key from a D-Word to a String Value....a second bug in the Fix

These two issues are now fixed, thank you for reporting!

Last week i mailed a danish translation to Veera, and so far I've got no respons. Did you recieve it?

I understood that the deadline was the 17. and with only 3 days to go, this springs to mind. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4125

    (1) The GIL is less powerful than a tool's "Ignore words." With Registry Cleaner (for example):

. The string does not exist in the GIL has no effect on the Registry Cleaner results list.

. The string does not exist in the Registry Cleaner "Ignore words" tab causes invalid file or directory references not to be in the results list.

. This might be considered to be a GIL bug.

This is indeed a bug, and it's now fixed, thank you for reporting!

. Should it? That could be a useful feature.

This will be improved in the future, it should also check the line tags, I suppose.

Version 2.0.0.1002 with x64 Windows 7

Two newly noticed issues:

If Service Manager is started twice in the same session without closing the list first, the new list window is blank. Awaiting developer response.

Global Ignore List does not work for any column in the Service Manager list. Awaiting developer response.

Missing tooltip for Action History...possible fix

Postby redseujac » Mon Feb 14, 2011 11:38 pm

I do repeat the following, because I think jv16 missed that post:

As I reported previously, tooltip is missing when sliding mouse over the tool name.

I can confirm the issue but I can't seem to find the reason for this problem. However, since this is such a cosmetic issue I will not use much time in order to fix this issue for now.

Maybe it's quite simple: I can't find an Action History tooltip (info) under the section [Main Tool Category Info] of the English language file. For the other Main Tools I do find there the needed info. So, al you have to do is adding a tooltip for Action History to that section of the English language file 8)

If that's right, you might include this new string in the upcoming new English.lng file (look at the most recent change log).

Clean and Fix My Computer can run a long time without producing a results list. To be fixed in RC1. Still happens in v.2.0.0.1002.
With default settings, it ran for about three or four minutes (per debug log time stamps) then stopped using CPU (per Task Manager). The only sign of life thereafter was movement of the progress indicator. After 27 minutes. I aborted the tool. ... {earlier debug logs are here: viewtopic.php?p=27608#p27608 }

On the x64 desktop system, the tool behaves similarly even when using the safest settings.

It does not happen on an x86 Windows 7 notebook.

I can confirm that this does NOT happen on my W7 x86 notebook, Vista x86(which I could use for just 30 minutes) and my XP-SP3 laptop.

Using Vista x86-SP2 for just 30 minutes:
.
For what it is worth, a short observation for the v2.0.0.1002(RC1) Startup Manager compared to Windows 'msconfig':
.
Windows 'msconfig' Startup showed 3 entries for nVidia graphical SW and 1 entry for Windows Defender, which was replaced by Windows Security Essentials!
jv16PT2011-RC1 Startup manager did not show the above 4 entries, all other entries were ok!
.
See the screenshot for only Vista v86.

.
PS: Are there any Vista beta testers left?
