Would it be possible to update the forum members about the jv16PT-2012 development progress?

Sure, sorry for the lack of updates lately. Anything special you would like to hear about the development?

1. What are the major area's of change in jv16PT-2012.
2. Will the Software Uninstaller be improved, especially the part without 'uninstall info'.
3. Release date indication of the first beta release.

There will be many updates, such as the Immunization feature, as well as many usability related things. I'll need to get back on this.

Do you mean the listing of software or the uninstallation of software?

Well actually both.

In the SW listing, without 'uninstall info', I see quite a few SW items I do not recognize at all as products/components I use or installed on my computer.
For testing purposes (with the 2011-RC1 version) I tried a few of these listed SW items to really uninstall. Of course with a backup.
But either nothing seemed to be happening or the uninstall process stopped without a successful completion.

My current SW uninstall approach is:
1. Use the windows Program Uninstall function, which most of the time is sufficient.
2. If 1. is not sufficient, than I try a known freeware product, which so far always did the requested job!
3. In case 1. and 2. do not work satisfactory, only than I turn to the jv16PT SW uninstall function.

I would really appreciate reactions from other jv16PT users on the usage of the 'SW uninstall' function.

e.g. this topic and another topic.

My question about the development:
4. Will the Disk Wiper be improved? See this topic (the first reply from AaLF isn´t important for me).
I lack for a notice if the Disk Wiper wipes only the added folders (on the list) or it wipes always a full drive.

For me, the 'Disk Wiper function' is not functioning at all in the last jv16PT versions!

If the 'Disk Wiping function' cannot be repaired, removing this function is probably better for the overall jv16PT product image than leaving it as it is right now.

I'm glad to report that the Disk Wiper has been improved. There was a bug in the Wipe only the free space feature that caused it to never finish, it's now fixed.

Great news! At last :) . But a bug is also in the other features of the Disk Wiper (see Leonardo´s replys). Hope the other bug was also fixed.
