The File Organizer helps you group files with similar names into their own sub-directories.
It can be very helpful when you need to sort out large amounts of files. may it be a chaotic download directory, a music collection, or the digital photos you made during the last few years
In such case, the File Organizer will save your day!
The tool uses jv16 PowerTools' advanced Artificial Intelligence engine to detect similarities between the given list of files. These similarities are then used to group the files together.
The Results
Even with such adavanced algorithms, the results might not be exactly as you want them. This is why this tool sports a "see first, act later" philosophy. More exactly, after running the tool, you will be presented with a tree view showing the new proposed structure. If you like it you can then apply the changes.
The picture above shows how the File Organizer organized a directory with a few photos. After the tool is done you can freely move files from one sub-directory to another to finalize the job. When everything looks in order, you can just click apply and the tool will create the directory structure and copy (or move) all the files to their corresponding new sub-directories.
Organizing large collections of files, usually a tedious job, has just become child's play!
