jv16 PowerTools 2010 - Registry Cleaner |
The Windows registry is an open database for all application and games in your system to use for data storage. The more applications and games you have ever installed, the more the registry will contain leftovers and other unwanted data.

The Registry Cleaner of jv16 PowerTools is not just "a registry cleaner" but "the registry cleaner". The Registry Cleaner uses advanced stateful registry scanning technology which means it doesn't just scan the registry entry by entry but analyzes it as a whole. When this is combined with numerous layers of safety and double checks, the result is the most trusted Registry Cleaner in the World!
Stateful registry cleaning
While competitive products consider each erroneous piece of registry data as an individual error, jv16 PowerTools' Registry Cleaner understands that there are usually dozens of registry entries and keys relating to a single registry error and thus they shouldn't be treated as individual errors. The development of this error link analysis has been very challenging, but it now allows jv16 PowerTools' Registry Cleaner to give you the best possible registry cleaning and fixing results.
The Registry Cleaner's link analysis goes even further, it also analyses how fixing or removing a single registry error affects the entire registry. For example, does it invalidate other registry data or does it fix other registry errors.
Detects and fixes more registry errors
PowerTools' registry cleaner engine can also detect non-referenced registry errors. In plain English: If you install a software, for example WinZip but you don't like it and decide to uninstall it. Of course, the product's own uninstaller leaves something behind, as usual. While other registry cleaners might be able to detect and remove leftover data which have direct references to WinZip, such as a path (e.g. "C:\Program Files\WinZip\") or filename reference (e.g. "C:\Program Files\WinZip\WinZip.exe").
But jv16 PowerTool's Registry Cleaner can detect also leftover data that doesn't have any references, such as path or file references, to the software in question. This isn't magic but advanced software installation pattern recognition system. To this date we have installed thousands of different software to our test computers and detected patterns on what data they modify and add to the computer when installed and what they leave behind when uninstalled. This unique information was used to create the leftover software scanning module to the Registry Cleaner.
All this, and still easy to use
It all sounds very complex, doesn't it? Well... it is. But not for you. You can unleash this power with only a few clicks. It's as easy as downloading jv16 PowerTools and clicking the Start button.
Results window
The found registry errors are listed in categories for easy browsing through the list and for easy category selection. The Fix button first attempts to automatically fix the problem. If no solution is found the erroneous data is removed. The Custom Fix opens the Custom Fixing Tool (see the next paragraph), and the Delete button removes the erroneous data from the registry.
Custom Fixing
If you are an advanced user you can take full advantage of your knowledge and use the Custom Fixing Tool which allows you to decide which solution suggestions are the best for each of the found errors.

Critical Importance. Safe to Use.
You simply cannot afford to make mistakes with the registry. The failsafes we have added ensure that such an occurrence is very unlikely. If the tool is not sure whether a registry entry is erroneous or not, it does not display it, period. We have made this sound "safety first" principle the cornerstone of our product. Further still, each and every fix you make triggers a backup by default. This is why the Registry Cleaner feature is literally, right now, the best of its kind in the world and this is why jv16 PowerTools sits in a league of its own.
