jv16 PowerTools 2008 - Registry Finder |
The Registry Finder allows you to search data from the registry using one or more search words.

The feature can be used for many purposes but it's especially useful for finding leftover entries of old software from the registry which can't be detected automatically. If you have just uninstalled a software called "Program A" (say), you could locate all of its left-over entries simply by using the Registry Finder with the "Program A" search word.
Main advantages over Windows RegEdit's search feature and other competitors
- Can search with many search words at a time
- Can find registry items based on their last modification date
- Supports searching with wildcards, Perl Regular Expressions and Artificial Intelligence
- Automatically creates a backup of all data you modify or remove, if you wish
The Results
The results of the registry search are shown in a very effective list form.
